Makin' Memories People!

Recently, I noticed these adorable little mushrooms sprouting in

my yard. Now, I have this thing for mushrooms and garden gnomes,

etc, so I decided to make my yard....unique.

Oh, it was unique alright.

I painted our mushrooms! Ha, I wonder what the neighbors were thinking.

I used water color, so the mushrooms would absorb more of the color

and not be so washed out when it rained.

Then, my family decided (to my surprising reluctance) that

they were going to the state fair.

This is where I hung out all night:

I think it was the 4-H kinda thing....

Sometimes I have my moments, where I feel like

I'm no good, or lost in the crowd.

I do pray,

and sometimes I think of little things,

that make me smile, no matter what.

I will share a few (in no particular order) :D 

1. The memory of my dad (who just so happens to be one of the

most talented musicians in the world....) telling me that I have the "ear" for music.

Not everyone can hear what he can, and he can see that I get it, and not

to forget it's a gift.

2. Mommy hugs or kisses. Or a combo of the two. When I miss her really

bad, I get random whiffs of her perfume.

3. Fresh contact lenses.

4. Talking in movie quotes with my sister.

5. Good surprises, like flowers, or random letters

(or hey! I passed my MacroEcon exam (even tho that hasn't happened yet...))

6. Discovering a new band and thinking "oh my goodness! They're EPIC."

7. When random babies smile at me.

8. My step-dad giving me dating advice.

9. FINISHING an art project. I procrastinate, therefore, STARTING one

takes forever.....

10. And this one will sound a little weird, but the smell of my cat, Binx's paws.

He runs around outside, inside, so they get this musky (but not stinky!) smell.

There's no other smell like it.

Don't judge me, even though everyone still does.

11. And one more (since I run this joint!), when my niece says a cuss word,

but somehow I still get blamed for teaching it to her. Even though I live 500 miles away....

Hehe!

Monday's are the best when one is on

vacation.

I'm in Georgia again visiting my sister, brother-in-law, and niece.

Kennedi, my niece, has learned a lot of new words and sayings.

Some of my favorite quotes so far have been,

"yeah, I can dance like that," -when watching Michael Jackson videos.

Her new song, "Kitty, oh, Kitty oh oooh oh,"

Not to mention she says please and thank you without being asked now.

:)

I found this video from LEAF on because i'm addicted's site on how

to layer for fall. It takes all the time out of staring at magazine photos!

like jewelry DIY and getting the perfect lip shade.

Fuel for the Week.

Happy Monday!

The jewelry collection at Fantasy Jewelry Box is

pretty solid. I'm not a big earring person, but for some reason,

I found myself lost on the earring section.....

Oh, and their prices? Even better.

Sessun has to be one of my favorite's. Everything from their

lookbooks, shopping, and ahem -blog!!

By the way, I'm printing this picture and keeping it

by my closet.

Lollapalooza has been over for a while now,

but Elle's website offers a collection of some of the looks

snapped at the fesival. Yes, it's techically Fall now, but here in

Nashville, it won't begin for a few more weeks.

So here's to some late inspiration!

Jason deCaires Taylor is without a doubt one brilliant mind.

I've seen these once before but unfortunately couldn't remember

where or who did this. But at last! I've found him, and not letting him out of sight.

He builds artificial reefs in Mexican waters and their just

witty and beautiful!
