Qui qu'a vu Coco?

Another Birthday Babe!
Coco Chanel.
How does one describe how important
she was and still is in this world?
Words cannot express.
So here's a birthday shout out
to this beautiful, brilliant woman!

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."

"Fashion fades, only style remains the same."

"Success is often achieved by those who don't
know that failure is inevitable."

"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."

-------

Also, it just so happens that the September issure of Glamour gave
a little tribute of their own, in which they listed a few interesting
facts on Coco:

"The interlocking C's don't just stand for Coco Chanel.
They're also the combined initials of Chanel and her lover 'Boy' Capel, who
died in a car accident..."

"To build mystique for Chanel No. 5, Chanel would give the fragrance
to notable women, then claim she didn't have anymore - increasing the
demand for it."

"Chanel...is credited with raising hemlines, loosening waistlines and
popularizing tans."

"Chanel's real first name was Gabrielle; 'Coco' came from her
days as a cabaret performer, and the song 'Qui qu'a vu Coco dans I'Trocadero?'
('Who's seen Coco in the Trocadero?')"
And I bring to you said song here:

Ont une merveilleuse journée!
