This Little Thing Called Pinterest.

All the goodies to share!

[1] What could be a better dessert for summer?
This is a must try!

[2] This seems like a neat tutorial. I can think of a handful of
sayings for my own!

[3] I am a huge fan of clean and simple ideas for my living spaces.
Especially the kitchen, and this idea here is a great way to bring color in!

[4] This pin is my charm of the post! DIY stamps?
Psh, c'mon!

This Little Thing Called Pinterest.

Pinterest has to be one of the
greatest inventions, ever!
I often find myself thinking,
"man, today has been stressful,
I've got to go Pinterest some of it off"
Ha! Crazy girl.

Anywho, I decided to
bring a few of my favorite finds so far
this week, or 'must tries', for your viewing pleasure.

[1] this print sums up my mood perfectly right now.

[2] this hair tutorial is a must try for when summer nights + straightening
do not mix.

[3] honey-lime tilapia. 'nuff said.

[4] i may or may not gaze longingly into this picture.
have they not invented teleportation yet?

Good Food, Good Pottery.

So I'm on the last leg of my
spring break trip (that was over a month ago)
-whew!
We stayed local, in Statesboro, where
there is my favorite sub shop, Larry's,
and then we decided to hit up a pottery shop
and it was a blasty-blast!

This may look like 'just a sammich' to y'all, but
no. I dream about Larry's, it's that ridiculous.

And that would be my plate :)

A wonderful day, followed by a (not so 3D)
showing of The Lorax.

And that would be spring break 2012!
I'll try to tone it down with the pictures next time......

St. Simons Island.

Alright. So our next stop is to St. Simons Island.
This island is where I spent most of my childhood
because it is a little more developed than Jekyll Island.
We had to make a trip to the pier, to see the new shops
and well, the pier.
I'll have you know this is where my sister met her husband.
Yep.

Oh let me just say this: I hate spicy food.
I was just so happy to be with family that I ordered
something called the 'bang bang shrimp'
ok kids, don't ever order something just because it has a cool name.

A Couple New Recipes.

I love to cook. I love to (attempt to) bake.
But my sister just blows me out the water in the kitchen.
She could fill a library with her cookbooks.
So whenever I'm in her neck of the woods, I
enjoy the new things she has for me to try.
And these two are not only incredibly delicious,
they're on my level =D

If I can do it, you can do it.
And I hope you enjoy them (which I know
you will) as much as I did!

The Lady and Sons.

In my journey through Savannah,
we ended it at Paula Deen's retaurant,
The Lady and Sons. I mean, the woman
is pretty much the first lady of the south. And after
21 years here as a southerner, I finally got a seat!
So here are the final moments in my little Savannah outing.

These are the flowers my Nanny had growing all around
her house when I was a little girl. I thought it nice of her
to pop up in our visit :)

Oh Paula. Best Hoecakes of my life!!!

Savannah.

I just got back today from my spring break trip down to Georgia.
Except this time, I took my bestie with me to show her where I grew up.
We did a lot of show and tell in Savannah, St. Simons Island, and Jekyll Island.
Let's start with Savannah =D

Heavy sigh. Back to the grind.
There's more goodies to come!

Fuel for the Week.

Happy early Love Day everyone!
I'm especially happy today to bring you some
Valentine inspired things for this sweet holiday!

Adorbs. Marc Jacobs. Adorbs.
Just go to Piperlime and get them. Now.

We all know you get either candies or jewelry for V-day.
It's not rocket science that this glass box is the perfect place to keep them.
Is it me, or can you picture a little gold fish swimming around in there too?

Oh so loving this clutch from Forever 21.
So cute, so affordable. Hearts.

Whenever I think of this holiday, I think of strawberries and chocolate.
(Or chocolate covered strawberries, which is unrelated at the moment).
So I thought this is the perfect time to test out these two recipes.
The first is cheesecake filled strawberries, found here.
And the second is a German Chocolate Cupcake, found here.

I feel that letterpressed cards show a little more authenticity and thought.
And the ones from Parrott Design Studio are
a great way to start and share the love tomorrow.

And for those who tend to take a ba-humbug approach
to Valentines day? Well, you get this pin.

Everyone have a hot and chocolate covered
Valentines!
