A Zoo Trip.

Back when my sister was in town
and spring was in full effect, we decided
it was the perfect day (as the rest of Nashville
thought the same too) to go to the Zoo.
I can't count how many times I've been
to the Nashville Zoo, but it never gets old.
I must say my favorite is the old plantation house,
all the blooming flowers and architecture is a
photography dream!
I know the place like the back of my hand,
so I'm thinking I should move in right?
Maybe the Meerkats have some extra space?

Another Year Wiser.

My birthday was a few weeks ago.
We went to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, filled
with old antiques and chipping brick walls... and good
food of course!

This is one of the many chandeliers in the joint.
Pretty sure it's the size of my bedroom.

After dinner we took a lovely stroll around
Nashville.
Ahhhh I love this town.

Good Food, Good Pottery.

So I'm on the last leg of my
spring break trip (that was over a month ago)
-whew!
We stayed local, in Statesboro, where
there is my favorite sub shop, Larry's,
and then we decided to hit up a pottery shop
and it was a blasty-blast!

This may look like 'just a sammich' to y'all, but
no. I dream about Larry's, it's that ridiculous.

And that would be my plate :)

A wonderful day, followed by a (not so 3D)
showing of The Lorax.

And that would be spring break 2012!
I'll try to tone it down with the pictures next time......

St. Simons Island.

Alright. So our next stop is to St. Simons Island.
This island is where I spent most of my childhood
because it is a little more developed than Jekyll Island.
We had to make a trip to the pier, to see the new shops
and well, the pier.
I'll have you know this is where my sister met her husband.
Yep.

Oh let me just say this: I hate spicy food.
I was just so happy to be with family that I ordered
something called the 'bang bang shrimp'
ok kids, don't ever order something just because it has a cool name.

An Old House.

Mmmmmkay.
So our last spot on Jekyll Island has
come to an end, visiting the Horton House,
which was one of the first settlements on the island.

After a while, she just starts ignoring me....

And this one as well was tired of "all the pictures"

Next stop, St. Simons Island!

Let's Continue My Spring Break Journey.

Alllllrighty, so the next stop
on our spring break journey was
down to Jekyll Island, GA.
It wasn't too bright or stormy,
just quiet and calm. I have many fond
childhood memories of these islands, and it was
nice to go back and have those memories resurface as in fact,
 positive ones.

And a jellyfish to end part 1 :)
