Fuel for the Week.

What a wonderful weekend!
I'm so glad Summer is here and I'm
counting down the days until I go on my
2012 vaca!
I probably should go ahead and
develop some gills for all the water
I'm going to be in!

Oh, and I got news in the mail yesterday
that I made the Deans List at WKU!

And have I mentioned how excited I am to
meet my nephew? He is due in September
and I am already completely in love and wrapped
around those little fingers :)

Now lets get on with our Monday!

Sabo Skirt is one helluva shop. But their blog is equally
impressive (and helpful)! I'm captivated by their
latest video with Hair Meet Wardrobe is quite charming.
If anything, just listen to their accents <3

Ohhhh man. Oh man. Hold me back! The shoes that Repetto offers
are incredible. There is a style for every girl. And it's all in french.
Can I have the honor of resting my little footsies in one of their designs?

I've always had the urge to start a Chanel bag fund (donations
are taken, ha!) But I now feel that I also should start a Rebecca Minkoff
fund. Her bags are AMAZING. I just cant choose!

The Ardorous is a wonderful site full of featured artists and their
pages. Great minds all in one place for the reader. Great Idea.
I searched by artist, whom Julia Baylis is the photographer
of the above photos.

I think that is all for this week, folks!
I've got a pool calling my name :)

This Little Thing Called Pinterest.

Pinterest has to be one of the
greatest inventions, ever!
I often find myself thinking,
"man, today has been stressful,
I've got to go Pinterest some of it off"
Ha! Crazy girl.

Anywho, I decided to
bring a few of my favorite finds so far
this week, or 'must tries', for your viewing pleasure.

[1] this print sums up my mood perfectly right now.

[2] this hair tutorial is a must try for when summer nights + straightening
do not mix.

[3] honey-lime tilapia. 'nuff said.

[4] i may or may not gaze longingly into this picture.
have they not invented teleportation yet?

Fuel for the Week.

Happy monday everyone.
I hope your easter holiday was a joyful one.
Over in my neck of the woods, it was a beautiful day out!

Friday night my mind was so incredibly blown
from the amazing show Delta Spirit put on.
Seriously, best live band in a longlonglong time, folks.

Robert Howsare has some of the most relaxing,
invigorating, and lively prints out there.
Just slap one on a t-shirt and call me sold.
Also, check out his ingenious video, drawing apparatus.

Over at LemKa's B side, you will find some
pretty nifty leather things such as hair pieces,
bracelets, necklaces and tassles.
So here's to wearing an old gray t-shirt but still
looking dang good.

This has to be one of the most adorable videos ever!
"Lost Things", directed by even cuter duo, Angela Kohler and
Ithyle Griffiths, the stop motion project is truly incredible when you
notice the detail and effort put in to it. Plus, when you get
A Fine Frenzy's, Alison Sudol to sing and pose
for you, well, I think they've got it made and therefore, we do too.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Fuel for the Week.

I wonder how many times I've been caught
dancing in my car to "Baby Rain" by Brite Futures.
I mean, I really dig it y'all......

Amy Borrell has some of the most adorable drawings
out there. Certainly whimsey, spice and everything nice.

How hilarious (and accurate) are these series of posters
called  Dancing Plague of 1518 from
Niege Borges Alves?! Now, I'm off to get some
great moon boots to complete this process.

I am pretty much foaming at the mouth right now over
napkin somebody?

Have a great week everyone!

Fuel for the Week.

Happy New Year everybody!
I hope you guys had a safe and fun holiday.
My first kiss in 2012 was my dog, Ellie.
Then my second was Binx. I had to wake both of them up.
Head shake....

So let's kick off this year right by fueling you're
week!

It's Real by Real Estate. Such a cute video, a band of megababes
in the cabin with mans best friend? Uh, yes please.

It's pretty obvious that Brian Pescador is an amazing photographer.
He has an incredible ability to capture normal moments with normal people
and make you want to dive in whatever scene he presents.

How ingenious are these Transcience mirrors from
the designers at David Derksen? Even more interesting is the
pictures they've posted of the creation and thought process in making them.

Yes, it is only January, but with the colors in the Spring 2012
line from Heidi Merrick, your wardrobe will automatically brighten
any time of the year!

I have taken the site, Oh, Pioneer! and dubbed it,
"Cameron Crack". The site is dedicated to Walt Whitman, and hence took their name
from his O. Pioneers! poem.
It is a collection of touching and naturalistic photos that
keeps.me.up.for.hours.
Well done, Oh, Pioneer!!

One of my new years resolutions was to try and step out of the baking box.
I've always loved macarons, but they seem to come with a daunting stigma that
they're really hard to make. However, since i'm stepping out of the box,
this recipe of Chocolate Macarons with Chocolate Ganache Filling seems like a
good one to start with.

Fuel for the Week.

Guess what? This is the last week of the semester!!!
My emotions are a mixture of excitement, relief, incredible stress,
and a lack of dedication.

So here are some things that I will be looking forward to
picking apart as soon as I turn in my last scantron sheet.

Mindy Smith - Santa Will Find You

During the holidays, there's undoubtedly a lot of
sweets being baked and tossed around.
But I hope to warm all the hearts and tummies
with this finger food.

How adorbs are these baby felt shoes?!
I found them at the Purl Bee . I read the
tutorial and it seem so easy ya'll!
I mean, I got a reason to make them too!
You skimmed this one, Binx.

This 2012 hand printed calendar from sheep shead is perfect!
All your gal pals would love it!

Have a good week everyone.
I'm giving you warning now, after this week, Cameron
will be in Christmas mode!

This Little Light in Me: Whitney.

Do I have a treat for you!
Back in the day I would just drool over blogs
before I commited to having one of my own.
And one of those blogs I just fell in love with is called:

It's run by this beautiful little lady, Whitney.
Full of diy's, recipes, and well it's too much!

So obviously I was elated to know her Little Lights!
So please please, read on....

1. Real Christmas trees. We just put ours up this year and I can't
help but get close and smell it at least a couple times a day. Delicious.

2. Overcast, blustery days. My husband grew up in Germany and
says I'd love the weather there because it's like that a lot. I just
love how cozy it makes me feel.

3. The smell of onions sauteed in butter.

4. Our wedding photos. I love re-living the most beautiful,
sacred day I've ever experienced through pictures.

5. New York City. It's where I spent my 16th birthday,
where I fell for my husband (before we were dating), and where
we got engaged. It's so, so special to me.

6. The Psalms. Reading God's Word is the only
thing that ever brings real peace to my heart.

7. DIY anything. I'm a sucker for handmade things and
sometimes wish I could be a DIY-er full-time.

8. A fresh manicure. I paint my nails by myself sometimes,
but it's nothing like going to get it done. So luxurious and relaxing.

9. Les Miserables. My sister and I can quote every line of
the entire musical. It's ingrained in me and is such a beautiful picture of grace.

10. That sweet husband of mine. Can't leave him out.
He's the brightest, most incredible person I know. :)

What a little sweet heart!
Again, her page is Elm Street Life.

This Little Light in Me: Kelly.

This Little Light post comes from
....bada bada bada.....

Kelly from the ---->    The Sotted Fox.

It happens to be one of my favorite blogs to read,
with diy's, art, and food, and ahg, everything!

So obviously I was more than excited to receive
her list of 10!
So check them out:

1. Checking out my favorite blogs with a fresh cup of coffee
and my cat Jameson in my lap.

2. The smell of sweet treats being baked in the
oven (especially when cinnamon is involved!)

3. Smiles on my nephews' faces.

4. Random visits to Target and the library.

5. Thai food!

6. Mexican food!

7. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'

8. Sleeping in on my days off.

9. Dance parties.

10. An empty journal, just waiting to be filled with lists and inspirations.

Again, you guys head over to The Spotted Fox
and indulge a little bit!
Thanks Kelly!

This Little Light in Me: Grace.

I love hearing positive little tidbits from
all over. So when I asked my fellow blogger friend,
Grace to give me a list of her happy things, it showed that
I'm not always alone on a tough day!

1. Talking about weddings with my mom. We'll go to Starbucks
and stock up on magazines and gush out everything.

2. Chocolate. In any form.

3.  Chantilly perfume. I never met my grandmother but it's what she wore.
So whenever I wear it or see it, I feel closer to her.

4. My dad singing, "I love a parade," gets me every time.

5. Minnie, our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog pup. When I come home
from school, she gets quite excited and tries to sneak up on the couch to snuggle.

6. Finding a really worthy pair of jeans. Let's face it, no matter
who you are or what you look like, you have a favorite
pair that always make you feel better.

7. The idea of scary movie nights. But once the movies
 start, not much smiling happens.

8. Gloomy, chilly, rainy days because they're the best. I can
use my umbrella and rainboots.

9. Walking down Mainstreet USA at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World.
There's nothing like it. Seeing children smiling, running to the
castle pulling their parents along with them. (P.S. if you go
to disney.com and go to the "share a memory" section, type in
surprises, select video and watch. It WILL make you smile and if
you're like me - get a little misty-eyed.)

10. Telling my boyfriend, Justin, that's he's cute and watching him
blush. Even after 5 years together, it still works.

-Thanks Grace!
