Fuel for the Week.

What a wonderful weekend!
I'm so glad Summer is here and I'm
counting down the days until I go on my
2012 vaca!
I probably should go ahead and
develop some gills for all the water
I'm going to be in!

Oh, and I got news in the mail yesterday
that I made the Deans List at WKU!

And have I mentioned how excited I am to
meet my nephew? He is due in September
and I am already completely in love and wrapped
around those little fingers :)

Now lets get on with our Monday!

Sabo Skirt is one helluva shop. But their blog is equally
impressive (and helpful)! I'm captivated by their
latest video with Hair Meet Wardrobe is quite charming.
If anything, just listen to their accents <3

Ohhhh man. Oh man. Hold me back! The shoes that Repetto offers
are incredible. There is a style for every girl. And it's all in french.
Can I have the honor of resting my little footsies in one of their designs?

I've always had the urge to start a Chanel bag fund (donations
are taken, ha!) But I now feel that I also should start a Rebecca Minkoff
fund. Her bags are AMAZING. I just cant choose!

The Ardorous is a wonderful site full of featured artists and their
pages. Great minds all in one place for the reader. Great Idea.
I searched by artist, whom Julia Baylis is the photographer
of the above photos.

I think that is all for this week, folks!
I've got a pool calling my name :)

Fuel for the Week.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!
And I must say, Fuel for the Week is
baaaack! And I feel great about it.
Lots of summer items on the brain right now.
Anywho, I'm not going to waste much time,
as there is bbq to be eaten.

The Lonely Wild has hit it off really quickly among
me and my friends. Great band!
And here is the link to download their EP!
If you're truly interested, you can shoot me a comment, and
I'll send a password for the download :)

Speaking of rad downloads, Urban Outfitters has issued out
the LSTN #16 playlist. 25 FREE tracks. Yup.

There's something about Sonya Kozlova's photos.
They're so simple, realistic, but hauntingly beautiful.
I highly suggest going to her site and
browsing through the easliy laid out albums of her work.

Head on over to Piperlime and check out the featured picks
of celebrities like Rachel Bilson, Rachel Zoe, Olivia Palermo, and Byrdie
Bell.

Fuel for the Week.

I'm just warning you guys,
it's getting close to finals time here on campus.
So in future posts, you will get either A) incoherent sentences about
stress and dislike or B) nothing at all.
Woo. Hoo.

Portugal. The Man - So American

Not only are these sunglasses by Shwood unique
and cute, they're made from recycled materials. No
machines, just craftsmen. What a conversation piece.....

RossLab's ceramics are so cute. I mean, there's no
other way to put it! Just look at the sugar/salt/pepper cellars
and the creamer/sugar bowls above. Ah. Also,
be sure to check out the other goods, like earrings and rings!

I'm in love with Rachel Rinehart's photography.
The photos are all organized in to her personal 'diaries', and
all equally encompasses a time when we were young, wild, and free.

That is all for now kiddos.
Lovvvves.

Fuel for the Week.

I'll admit, since Thursday was my birthday, I
skipped class on Thursday (and requested off work for the week).
So this Monday I'm a little bitter!
Can we make this day a little better?

The Head and the Heart - Lost in my Mind

Handbags happen to be one of my weeknesses.
And FYI there is a handbags.com
So.....problem solved! Like this satchel,
that also comes in a variety of colors.

Large bags like the one first listed are nice, but
I do find myself moving towards smaller options
these days. And this colorful wristlet from
Ann Taylor seems perfect!

Los Poblanos is an organic farm/inn a few miles
from Albuquerque that has a multitude of goodies
such as soaps, lotions, and solves. Plus, the adorable packaging
was the first thing I bought.

The prints from Black Baroque fits my style perfectly.
All whimsy, color, and antique mixed into one fine print.

Have a lovely day!

Fuel for the Week.

Happy monday everyone.
I hope your easter holiday was a joyful one.
Over in my neck of the woods, it was a beautiful day out!

Friday night my mind was so incredibly blown
from the amazing show Delta Spirit put on.
Seriously, best live band in a longlonglong time, folks.

Robert Howsare has some of the most relaxing,
invigorating, and lively prints out there.
Just slap one on a t-shirt and call me sold.
Also, check out his ingenious video, drawing apparatus.

Over at LemKa's B side, you will find some
pretty nifty leather things such as hair pieces,
bracelets, necklaces and tassles.
So here's to wearing an old gray t-shirt but still
looking dang good.

This has to be one of the most adorable videos ever!
"Lost Things", directed by even cuter duo, Angela Kohler and
Ithyle Griffiths, the stop motion project is truly incredible when you
notice the detail and effort put in to it. Plus, when you get
A Fine Frenzy's, Alison Sudol to sing and pose
for you, well, I think they've got it made and therefore, we do too.

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Fuel for the Week.

Good Monday everyone!
Fuel for the Week is back!
(For now....)
I know you've waited patiently,
so let's just get down to it :)

I love it when I can find a good lookbook to get
my fashion mind running,
and Shop Sosie does a pretty great job at that!

The rugs that come from Jonathan Adler
are pretty unique. And there is also a
neat little 'design your own' section too...

Brandon Chuesy has let out a zine line titled, "Can I Call You Back?"
It's a very organic and unique piece to have around that
can catch anyone's eye.
Each is hand painted and bound with it's own edition number.

I never thought I would get so excited over little
wooden boxes, but alas, My House of Dreams came along.
This etsy shop is full of whimsical and darling little boxes.
It makes me want to get a little box and hide away a secret =)

Style Crush.

I can't believe I didn't think of her AGES ago.
I am gladly accepting that Alexa Chung is my style crush,
and a crush she will always be.
This girl......

The perfect mixture of boyish, girly, rock and lace.
My goodness gracious. She's good.

Fuel for the Week.

Happy early Love Day everyone!
I'm especially happy today to bring you some
Valentine inspired things for this sweet holiday!

Adorbs. Marc Jacobs. Adorbs.
Just go to Piperlime and get them. Now.

We all know you get either candies or jewelry for V-day.
It's not rocket science that this glass box is the perfect place to keep them.
Is it me, or can you picture a little gold fish swimming around in there too?

Oh so loving this clutch from Forever 21.
So cute, so affordable. Hearts.

Whenever I think of this holiday, I think of strawberries and chocolate.
(Or chocolate covered strawberries, which is unrelated at the moment).
So I thought this is the perfect time to test out these two recipes.
The first is cheesecake filled strawberries, found here.
And the second is a German Chocolate Cupcake, found here.

I feel that letterpressed cards show a little more authenticity and thought.
And the ones from Parrott Design Studio are
a great way to start and share the love tomorrow.

And for those who tend to take a ba-humbug approach
to Valentines day? Well, you get this pin.

Everyone have a hot and chocolate covered
Valentines!

Fuel for the Week.

I wonder how many times I've been caught
dancing in my car to "Baby Rain" by Brite Futures.
I mean, I really dig it y'all......

Amy Borrell has some of the most adorable drawings
out there. Certainly whimsey, spice and everything nice.

How hilarious (and accurate) are these series of posters
called  Dancing Plague of 1518 from
Niege Borges Alves?! Now, I'm off to get some
great moon boots to complete this process.

I am pretty much foaming at the mouth right now over
napkin somebody?

Have a great week everyone!
